This is my cranky post

Big bomb. Kill all the stupid people. = my motto

So, there's this company in New South Wales (Australian State) that sells bras online. They stock my favourite, so I buy from them. Saves me trying to find somewhere in Melbourne that stocks them. I've bought from them a couple of times. They irritated me initially because they don't let you specify a mailing address - they automatically mail to the billing address of the credit card you use in the transaction.

December 24, 2007 - I posted an order for 2 new bras.

January 4, 2008 - They charged my card. This is another thing that irritates me - they don't email you to say they've sent your package, they just charge your card. Therefore, unless you check your online credit account, you don't know they've posted your order, and you therefore don't know that you should be looking out for a parcel in the mail.

February 11, 2008 - I realise I've been charged but have'nt received my order. I email to enquire.

February 26, 2008 - I haven't had a response to my email, so I email again. They respond, telling me that my email had been sent to their Spam folder and they hadn't noticed. They tell me they will investigate what happened to my order through Australia Post.

March 7, 2008 - Not having heard anything more from them regarding my order, I email again to enquire on the investigation.

March 12, 2008 - They respond to tell me they are investigating with Australia Post, and that it can take days to find out. (It's already been 19 days.) They also tell me they will re-order the bras and send me a replacement order, which should arrive in two weeks.

April 14, 2008 - Still no package, so I email again to ask (politely) what the hell is going on.

April 16, 2008 (today) - they email the following response:

Hi Riley

This order was resent again free of charge on the 20th March to the following address:

2 New Street, Brunswick VIC .

Please check at your local post office  for an express post parcel marked for you attention.

We have now sent four bras out for you since the 4th March which relate to this one order.

 Kind regards

Debra

Two things stand out to me here. Firstly is the last sentence: "We have now sent four bras out for you since [incorrect date] which relate to this order." ... This is where I started to get cranky. First of all, I ordered *two* bras in the one order, so basically all they've done is mail me the original order, and then a replacement. That sentence makes it sound as if they have gone above and beyond, which is just not the case. Secondly, that sentence - to me - makes it sound like they are vaguely accusing me of being troublesome and/or dishonest. (What do you think, guys?)

The second thing that stands out to me and really made me mad was THE ADDRESS THEY'VE BEEN SENDING THEM TO IS NOT THE ADDRESS ON MY ORDER. It's my old address, which I left in September 2007. Every email I've sent them has had a copy of the receipt for the order that I had received after making the purchase. It clearly shows my *current* address, not once but twice, on the receipt. The old New St address is nowhere on the tax invoice. Here they are getting snarky at me,  and they've been mailing the bloody things to the wrong place!

Finally, after calling three local post offices looking for my package, I have found it - it was redirected (I'd paid for redirection of my mail from when I moved until March 31st) to my new address, and then the postman left it for me to collect from the post office - without leaving me the card which tells me that there is a parcel waiting for me at X post office! Argh!

Anyway, I'm not going to buying from those guys again. Now I just hope I can find someone else who stocks that particular bra. Sigh.

You know, I actually feel better now that I have vented!

stupid mail.
i recently had preoblems sending a parcel to america, it went all the way there and got returned with a sticker saying not enough info for delivery, after it was double checked with the person that it was indeed thier correct address before i posted. i just resent it to them to another address for them, and hope they get it this time.
aparantly it's just crap mail people at thier end :\

I suggest re-working this description of events into a curtly polite letter and sending it to the company in question as a means of explaining to them why they'll never be seeing another cent from you. :)
I think there is A Tone there- you are correct. I'd mail them back and point this out, and also that they're losing your patronage. Especially if you already feel better - then it's be a potentially constructive email rather than just a venty email?

Sounds similar to the crap I'm dealing with from the popnots place- they *refuse* to answer my calls/answer my emails/respond to my voice mails....argh. I've gone on to the step of asking my credit card company to get my money back.

I would send them a polite but succinct letter informing them why you will no longer be doing business with them, and that you did not appreciate the tone of the last email, especially since they were in the wrong. You might get nothing out of it, but they need to know the problem.

*hugs*

Arrrrgh! And all the time they are snarking around, they HAVE your payment. I hate it when oder-by-mail gets screwed up, but I can totally sympathize with finally finding someone who actually stocks your size and what you like. *pets*
