Went to see a preview of Milk tonight with Albie & Corey (pictured above) - what a great film. If you get the chance to see it, don't miss out. The preview was sponsored by the local GLBTI community radio station, Joy FM, and they provided a guest speaker to introduce. Very interesting night. It must be said, though - the 70s were a terrifying decade for fashion. So many scary moustaches ... and even scarier pants. And getting down to the cinema in 43 degree heat was very unpleasant. My head was pounding just waiting for the tram. I just do not cope in this kind of weather - and we have another two days of 43 degrees ... and it doesn't get below the high twenties at night, either. I feel so bad for my poor cat, with her little fur coat. If only air con wasn't so bad for the environment :-(

the swabs are awesome :]

yeah stupid weather , we went out at 10:15 and its still boiling out side . at least the cinema i guess would have been cool
Oh, the cinema was lovely and cool. I wish I could live in it, and throw all the other patrons out.
Wow, I finally converted that to fahrenheit, and oh my god, you must be melting. Does "air conditioning is bad for the environment" mean you don't use it? Because we cut the air conditioning on around 25 c, and I'm about to feel really guilty. (I would rather suffer it out to 30, but no one else near the thermostat agrees with me...)
*whimpers* It's hooooorrible! We don't have any air conditioning to use. It's not standard in houses here (well, probably in new houses). Since we don't get very cold (like, it doesn't even go below zero here anymore) in winter, it's not standard to have centralised heating/cooling. We have blinds to pull down, and fans to run all night and day. I've considered buying a portable unit, because seriously - the summers here don't seem to be getting any cooler. I don't think I'd use it unless it was over 35, but that's because our house stays pretty cool with the blinds down and the fans on. My room is the hottest in the house, though - I'd like to run some air con a little at night to cool it down to allow for sleeping.
heh- swabs FTW!
