boys for pay equity

On Thursday it was Equal Pay Day, and a rally for Pay Equity was held in Federation Square. A bunch of us from work headed down for a couple of hours. It was really colourful - people had been encouraged to wear red. I took a bunch of photos (including the boys above) - there's a folder of 'em on flickr, if you're interested.

The other pic is from Thursday night. Met up with my flatmate Lea, andricongirl and sharplittlteeth for dinner at Flora's (the dosai meal ... mmmmm) followed by a screening of the Banksy film, Exit Through The Gift Shop - which is hugely entertaining, very recommended. The film was shown at ACMI on Federation Square, and right outside is an installation called Solar Equation - a huge balloon representing the sun, with projections on the surface. Apparently if you have an iPhone or iPad you can adjust the algorithms and change the projections. Really nice piece! After the film I heard my name being called - by an old friend I used to do radio with in Tasmania, who I hadn't seen for a couple of years. 3 million people and you still run into people you know...

ION, Kitty's vet trips were successful and she is happily snoozing on the couch right now. Awww.
